In 1988, after years of chartering in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, my wife Cathie and I returned to Australia, pioneering Whitsunday sailing adventures. Our vision was to create an interesting fun filled holiday that would appeal to those with a sense of adventure. The Whitsundays was the perfect location for sailing and Barrier Reef cruises.
Barefoot Cruises now operate a fleet of unique sailing and cruising vessels, each with it's own distinctive character and history. We are a small boutique cruise company who cater for comfort for adventurers seeking a unique and quality experience. We personally own and operate all of our vessels and have gained our reputation from the high standard of maintenance and presentation of these vessels, as well as the excellent customer service and attention to detail provided by our professional crews.

Reef Odyssey is a 35 metre expedition style cruise vessel designed to provide the utmost comfort and stability at sea. Cruising the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands, Reef Odyssey caters for a maximum of 39 guests.
Accommodation is available in cabins, staterooms and deluxe staterooms, all with private en-suites. The ship is fully air-conditioned and has comfortable lounge areas, dining room and cocktail bar.
